Hardscaping →How the two fit together
We keep our services focused on two things and do them thoroughly: designing and installing complete landscapes, and building the hardscape that makes a yard usable. Both are planned around the conditions that define the Prescott area: granite soil and boulders, hillside lots, alkaline soil, a short growing season with frost possible into late May, and summer monsoon storms that drop most of the year's rain in a few weeks.
Most projects combine the two. A new backyard might need a retaining wall to create flat ground, a paver patio for seating, drip irrigation and a planting plan, and we design those pieces together so drainage, grades and plant spacing all work. Building them in the right order matters too: walls and drainage first, then patios and paths, then irrigation, plants and finish rock, so nothing gets torn up twice.
Every job starts with a site visit and ends with a written, itemized estimate, so you know what's included before any work begins. Large projects can be phased: build the bones this year and plant next spring, with a plan that ties both stages together.
We serve Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and Dewey-Humboldt. If you're budgeting, start with our landscaping cost guide.
