About us
Landscapes Built for the Central Highlands
We design and build yards that work at 5,400 feet: rocky ground, a short growing season, monsoon storms and wildfire country.
Why we focus on two services
Landscaping covers a lot of ground, from mowing to tree work to pool decks. We keep ours narrow on purpose: complete landscape design and installation, and the hardscape that makes a yard usable. Doing fewer things means we know them deeply, and the pieces fit together. The retaining wall, the patio, the drainage and the planting plan are designed as one project rather than bolted on by different crews at different times.
It also means we know the region. A yard in the pines above Prescott, a new build in a Prescott Valley HOA, a ranch on caliche in Chino Valley and a rural lot crossed by a wash in Dewey-Humboldt each need a different plan, and we plan for the one you have.
How we work
- On-site first. Every estimate starts with a visit to measure slope, check soil and rock, find where water flows and see how you use the space.
- Itemized pricing. Design, demolition and haul-off, rock work, hardscape, irrigation, plants and finish materials are listed separately, so you can see where the money goes and phase what you want.
- Built in the right order. Drainage and walls first, then hardscape, irrigation, and plants last, so nothing gets torn up twice.
- Water-wise by default. Drip irrigation, plants matched to the site, and water concentrated where it matters, in line with University of Arizona Extension guidance.
- Licensed work. Projects are built by Arizona ROC-licensed contractors. Check any license on the Arizona ROC contractor search.
Designed for this climate
Prescott's real rain comes in a few summer weeks, freezes can arrive into late May, soil is often alkaline decomposed granite over rock, and much of the area sits in the wildland-urban interface. Those facts decide plant choice, irrigation, wall construction and how close anything flammable sits to the house. We design around them instead of fighting them, which is what keeps a landscape looking good five years after it is installed, not just the week it is finished.
What a finished project includes
When the last plant is in, we walk the yard with you, set the irrigation controller for the season and show you how to adjust it as the weather changes. You get a simple care sheet for the first year: when to water more, when to cut back, and what to watch for after the first frost and the first monsoon storm. New plantings need the most attention in their first summer, and a little care then decides how the yard looks for years.
